AT 03:18, the SHFD Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) was dispatched to 1108 West Arch Street, Pottsville, for a 2nd alarm working fire with entrapment. Crews arrived on scene and staged as RIT support on both the A and C sides of the multi-occupancy structure. Units from Pottsville were able to bring the fire under control within 20 minutes. The SHFD RIT remained on scene for approximately 1 hour. Deputy 63 had command. Great job to Pottsville City units for rescuing 4 people.
