April 12, 2014 -At 18:10 Stations 1 & 4 were dispatched along with Fire District 41 Cressona Fire, to the intersection of Pottsville Street and Columbia Avenue, Cressona Borough for a reported house fire. March 27, 2014 – Tanker Task Force To Orwigsburg (Brush Fire)

March 27, 2014 - At 15:17 Station 4 was dispatched for Tanker 738 as part of a Tanker Task Force requested by Fire District 56 (Orwigsburg) to the area of 126 Second Mountain Road, West Brunswick Township for a large brush fire. Crews arrived on scene, pulled lines from T-738, and battled a large brush fire in a wooded area. Station 4 would like to thank Friedensburg, New Ringgold, Diener's Hill and East Norwegian Fire Companies for their assistance with pulling our lines out of the woods and providing help with packing/rolling the hose on T738. March 26, 2014 – RIT to Pottsville For WSF (Schuylkill Ave.)


March 26, 2014 -At 20:37 the SHFD RIT (Rapid Intervention Team) was dispatched to 734 Schuylkill Avenue in the City of Pottsville for a working structure fire. March 22, 2014 – Large Brush Fire (Deiberts Valley Road)

March 22, 2014 - At 17:44 Stations 2 & 4 were dispatched to the area of 551 Deiberts Valley Road, South Manheim Township for a reported brush fire. Fire personnel arrived on scene and were met with a fast moving brush fire in a field. Numerous lines were pulled from Engine 732 while Tanker 738 supplied the initial water. Chief 723 requested  manpower from Station 1 and a Tanker Task Force that brought numerous Mutual Aid Tankers to the scene for additional water supply. The brush fire was quickly contained and extinguished due to the quick actions and response by fire department members and mutual aid companies. March 19, 2014 - Today, the Liberty Fire Company received official notification from the Fire House Subs Public Safety Foundation that a grant was being issued to our company for the purchase of an AED First Responder Package. March 18, 2014 – Chimney Fire (Chestnut Hill)

March 18, 2014 -At 20:21 Stations 1 & 4 were dispatched along with Fire District 41,  to 417 Stoney Run Road, North Manheim Township (Chestnut Hill Development) for a reported chimney fire. Crews from Station 4 arrived on scene and were immediately sent to Division II of the structure to check for any possible extension as embers and heavy smoke were showing from the chimney. Ladder 725 arrived and setup on side A, sending manpower to the roof. A problem with an overloaded fireplace was determined to have caused the embers and smoke. February 18, 2014 – Working House Fire (404 East Main Street)


February 18, 2014 - At 15:31 the Schuylkill Haven Fire Department was dispatched to 404 East Main Street for a structure fire. As Chief 723 (Reed) became en-route he advised the communications center of a working fire. As personnel arrived on scene, they were met with heavy fire to the rear of 404 E. Main. Engine 737 arrived shortly after Engine 732 and established a water supply from the hydrant located at Main and Green Streets. Wagon 736 assisted with man-power to the rear of the buildings. January 2nd, 2014 – Possible House Fire During Snow Storm

January 2nd, 2014 - At 20:04 the SHFD was dispatched to 49 Stanton Street for a house fire. Heavy snow at the time of the call made travel extremely difficult for responding units. Chief 722 (Motko) arrived on scene and advised of a smoke condition in the basement. Crews gained entry to the residence and found the source of the smoke to be a malfunctioning oil burner. September 5, 2013 - At 11:40 Station 4 was dispatched to 15 Manor Road, Wayne Township for Engine 737 and Tanker 738 as part of a Tanker Task Force for a working structure fire. Crews arrived on scene and found a working apartment building with heavy fire showing from division II and the attic. August 30, 2013 – MVA w/Confinement (Bill’s Produce)

August 30, 2013 - At 15:50 Stations 1 & 4 were dispatched to the area of 2012 Long Run Road (Bill's Produce) for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. E-737 and Chief 735 were the first to arrive on scene and were met with 3 vehicle accident, 2 injuries, and one person confined inside. Crews from E-737 and S-739 began stabilization while Rescue-727 arrived on scene and removed the driver side door from one vehicle. August 12, 2013 – Hazardous Materials Company Training


On Monday August 12, 2013, members from Station 4 participated in a hazardous materials training covering the correct methodologies of vapor dispersion and vapor suppression. Fire personnel advanced a hoselines to the area of a leaking propane tank and used a fog pattern to disperse and lower the concentration of the hazardous vapor. August 9, 2013 – Working Commercial Fire (Port Carbon/St.Clair Hwy)

August 9, 2013 - At 00:29 Station 4 was dispatched as part of a Tanker Task Force for Tanker 738 to the area of Mill Creek Avenue and the Port Carbon/St.Clair Hwy for a working commercial fire. Tanker 738 and Squad 739 arrived on scene and crews setup a tanker dump site to supply the attack engines located approximately 300 yards away. After the dump site was established crews also assisted with fire attack and overhaul by gaining entry to the rear of the structure.
